Lewis Mahoney is a first-team set-piece specialist and performance analyst whose work focuses on turning dead-ball moments into consistent competitive advantage. He is currently First Team Set Piece Analyst at Liverpool FC (since September 2025), following a successful spell in the same role at Southampton FC (January 2024–September 2025), where he supported first-team planning through detailed opposition scouting, set-piece strategy, and training-ground delivery support.
Before specialising in set pieces full-time, Lewis built a strong analysis foundation as First Team Performance Analyst at Bristol Rovers (July 2020–January 2024). He began his professional pathway at Swansea City, progressing through academy analysis and internships that exposed him to both development and senior football demands. Alongside analysis, he has also coached within the Swansea City system as a Development Centre Coach (U10), giving him a practical understanding of how ideas land on the pitch.
Lewis holds a First Class Honours degree in Sport Performance Analysis from Cardiff Metropolitan University and is a UEFA A Licence coach, reflecting a clear commitment to combining analytical expertise with coaching language and on-field impact.
