Concussion is an important topic in football due to the potential short term and long term consequences of this diagnosis. In the first position statement of the Concussion in Para Sport group published in 2021, there was a call for more research into concussion in para athletes; particularly athletes in under-represented groups1. Amputee football is a sport played in numerous countries worldwide and is growing in popularity.
