Jorge David Mora Anzola

Jorge David Mora Anzola is a sport psychologist who has built a long-term applied pathway in professional football and athlete development, combining club practice with university teaching and psychosocial programme delivery. Since February 2016, he has worked at Azul & Blanco Millonarios FC S.A. in Bogotá as Sport Psychologist for the academy programme and the professional women’s team, supporting players across development and elite environments with psychological skills, wellbeing support, and performance-focused interventions aligned to the demands of training and competition.

Alongside his club work, Mora Anzola has contributed to higher education as a lecturer in Colombia, serving as a Professor at Universidad Sergio Arboleda (January 2020–December 2023) and as a Docente at Fundación Universitaria del Área Andina (July 2016–July 2023). His experience also includes a psychosocial sport role with the Instituto Distrital de Recreación y Deporte (IDRD), where he worked as a Psicosocial Psychologist within the SIAB team (February 2022–April 2023), focusing on psychological support and structured psychosocial processes.

Earlier in his career, he developed a strong base in applied practice across multiple sporting contexts, including roles as a sport psychologist and mental trainer with Escuela de Campeones EDEC (December 2015–August 2017) and Venki / Club Fortaleza (September 2015–April 2016). He also gained international applied experience in Spain through sport psychology placements with ASC Sánchez-Casal Tennis Academy (February 2015–June 2015) and RCD Espanyol(November 2014–June 2015), complementing earlier work in Colombia supporting referees, community sport, and social impact projects.

Academically, Mora Anzola is trained through both Colombian and Spanish institutions. He completed his undergraduate psychology degree at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá (2006–2010), and later undertook postgraduate study at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, including an Official Master’s in Research in Psychology Applied to Health Science (Sport Psychology) (2013–2014) and a Master’s in Sport and Exercise Psychology (2014–2016), with additional postgraduate focus areas in applied performance psychology and sport psychology in school-age populations. He also holds the FIFA Guardians course credential, reflecting capability in safeguarding and building safer sporting environments.
